Even though this is only the first full week of school, I have been giving homework every day. Please be sure to check your student's homework assignment sheet nightly. HOPEFULLY we will be getting planners/agendas for everyone. Please sign/initial the assignment sheet nightly, meaning that you have seen their completed homework and their behavior chart color.
Reading - Every night, they should read for 10 minutes and write a 2 sentence summary about what they read. Later, I will lengthen the amount of time and sentences required.
Math - Every night, they will have either a math worksheet or math workbook page to complete. One of those should be in their homework folder.
Spelling - Spelling homework will begin Monday, September 6th. They will be required to either write their words in ABC order, write sentences containing each word, etc.
Homework Assignment Sheet - Every day, they write down their homework on their assignment sheet. It needs to be signed/initialed - meaning you have seen their completed homework and their behavior chart color.
Behavior Chart Colors - Blue = beyond classroom expectation, Green = meeting classroom expectations. Yellow = warning, 15 minutes silent lunch, Orange = completely silent lunch, Red = letter/e-mail will be sent home.
